Watchtower Commits Perjury?
False application filed with the EUROPEAN COMMISSION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
The Watchtower Society had perjured itself before the European Commission on Human Rights. This is a commission that operates under the authority of the World Court, and to which the Watchtower Society submitted a false and misleading application regarding objections to legal recognition that had been raised by the government of Bulgaria.
By reading the court's ruling on the application filed by the Watchtower Society, it will be readily apparent to anyone familiar with Jehovah's Witnesses that Watchtower officials have grossly misrepresented crucial facts concerning Jehovah's Witnesses and the blood doctrine. Here is one key paragraph regarding children and the blood issue:
As regards the alleged involvement of children the applicant association [The Watchtower Society] submits that children cannot become members of the association but only participate, together with their parents, in the religious activities of the community. In respect of the refusal of blood transfusion, the applicant association submits that there are no religious sanctions for a Jehovah's Witness who chooses to accept blood transfusion and that, therefore, the fact that the religious doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses is against blood transfusion cannot amount to a threat to "public health".
The truth is that many children are baptized as jehovah's Witnesses and become members of the association before reaching the age of ten.
As for a Witness who accepts one of the banned blood products, or a whole blood transfusion, the Watchtower's position has been quite clear for four decades:
"...the receiver of a blood transfusion must be cut off from God's people by excommunication or disfellowshiping....if in the future he persists in accepting blood transfusions or in donating blood toward the carrying out of this medical practice upon others, he shows that he has really not repented, but is deliberately opposed to God's requirements. As a rebellious opposer and unfaithful example to fellow members of the Christian congregation he must be cut off therefrom by disfellowshiping. - The Watchtower 01/15/1961 pp. 63, 64
(Maybe these people just did not deserve to know the truth? Perhaps this is just part of a Star Wars episode?)
Here is a hard copy of the decision on the admissibility of the application in our files should this information be unavailable online in the future. You can view the scanned documents here.
John 8:44 *** YOU are from YOUR father the Devil, and YOU wish to do the desires of YOUR father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of [the lie].
James 3:14-15 *** ...do not be bragging and lying against the truth.
Colossians 3:9 *** Do not be lying to one another...
1 John 2:21 *** ...no lie originates with the truth.
Revelation 21:27 *** But anything not sacred and anyone that carries on a disgusting thing and a lie will in no way enter into it; only those written in the Lamb’s scroll of life [will].

Oh get over yourself. Since the governments are run by Satan and this is an Organization directed by Jehovah God....well it is obvious who is wrong! And it isn't Jehovah's Witnesses. You haven't given enough information to this blog for anyone to determine anything about what Truth's were or weren't told.
And not giving information to the enemy is NOT the same as telling a lie. Duh!
I loved that document, the European Commission of Human Rights!!! It show to everyone how Jehovah's Witnesses are not involved in the Governments of the world, all of which are under Satan's control. Jehovah's Witnesses are NEUTRAL, not taking up arms.
This document shows that Jehovah's people are busy doing the preaching work. They are calling on everyone to tell them about the Good News of the Kingdom. That is so encouraging since these brothers obviously face great opposition to their faith.
You can tell this governmental effort to stop Jehovah's witnesses from registering is backed by liars and extremest! Satan and his hordes are busy, busy, busy!
This is a silly lie.... JW's are commiting mass suicides and are mentally distressed and depressed. What a LIE!
The European Court of Human Rights held a hearing in regard to this application on July 3rd 1997.
Press communiqué issued by the Secretary
to the European Commission of Human Rights
Application No. 28626/95
Khristiansko Sdruzhenie "Svideteli na Iehova"
(Christian Association Jehovah's Witnesses)
v.
Bulgaria
On 3 July 1997, the European Commission of Human Rights (Council of Europe)
held a hearing on the admissibility and merits of the above application
brought by Christian Association Jehovah's Witnesses against Bulgaria.
[paragraphs omitted]
As regards the alleged involvement of children the applicant association
submits that children cannot become members of the association but only
participate, together with their parents, in the religious activities of the
community. In respect of the refusal of blood transfusion, the applicant
association submits that there are no religious sanctions for a Jehovah's
Witness who chooses to accept blood transfusion and that, therefore, the
fact that the religious doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses is against blood
transfusion cannot amount to a threat to "public health".
[paragraphs omitted]
However, the Government submit that the Jehovah's Witnesses religious
doctrine contains ideas and canons which are contrary to the Constitution
and endanger public health, national security, and the rights and freedoms
of others.
The Government submit that children participate in the association's
religious activities without the consent of their parents, that teachers
adhering to the association preach in school among minors, that Jehovah's
Witnesses teach disrespect for the democratic institutions and the national
symbols and require their adept to disobey the law when it is contrary to
the "divine law", that Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to bear arms and to work
in the public service, and that they are seeking the establishment of a
theocratic society. The Government also consider that Jehovah's Witnesses'
doctrine does not have respect for the human life as it requires to refuse
blood transfusion even when this would bring death.

In 1998 a case involving Jehovah's Witnesses in Bulgaria was given attention by the European Court of Human Rights. What led up to it? The Bulgarian government had deprived Jehovah's Witnesses, as well as some 20 other religious groups, of legal recognition. An appeal to the Bulgarian Supreme Court had been denied because, among other things, Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the Trinity and in other non-Biblical doctrines of Christendom. This led to arrests, the breaking up of meetings for worship, and the confiscation of religious literature. The European Court urged Bulgaria to settle matters with Jehovah's Witnesses on a friendly basis. As a result, in October 1998, Bulgaria again gave legal recognition to Jehovah's Witnesses. This made it possible to send four missionaries from the 106th class of Gilead to Bulgaria to assist the local publishers in sharing the Kingdom good news with the people there.

Application
Excerpts from application:
The applicant association contends that the measures against it are not necessary in a democratic society within the meaning of these provisions. Thus, the association maintains that it does not pose a threat as alleged by the authorities. As regards the alleged unlawful activities of Jehovah's Witnesses with children the applicant association submits that children cannot become members of the association but only participate, together with their parents, in the religious activities of the community. (emphasis added) As regards a "pioneer card" issued to a Ms. V., the applicant association explains that the card was issued when Ms. V. was 16 years old and could assume some civil obligations herself. Also, Ms. V.'s card prohibiting blood transfusion aims at "informing the medical professionals [of the parents' religious stand], and not at imposing on them a certain medical practice."
In respect of the refusal of blood transfusion, the applicant association submits that while this is part of the religious doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses, its acceptance depends on the personal choice of the individual concerned. There are no religious sanctions for a Jehovah's Witness who chooses to accept blood transfusion. Therefore, the fact that the religious doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses is against blood transfusion cannot amount to a threat to "public health", every individual being free in his or her choice.
The applicant association also contends that blood transfusion can be very dangerous, because of contamination. Furthermore, referring to publications and research of medical professionals, the applicant association submits that surgery and other medical treatment can be effected successfully without resort to blood transfusion. Moreover, there are several hospitals in Bulgaria which apply surgery without blood transfusion. Also, the applicant association submits that the Court has already dealt with this issue in Hoffmann v. Austria (Eur. Court HR, judgement of 23 June 1993, Series A no. 255-C).
From JWFacts.com:
Minors
It is particularly disturbing that the Watchtower encourages children raised as Jehovah's Witnesses to be baptised as minors. Even a pre-teenage child can get baptised and for the remainder of their life be subject to the principle of being disfellowshipped.
"In the summer of 1946, I was baptized at the international convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Although I was only six years of age, I was determined to fulfill my dedication to Jehovah. That summer I served as a pioneer for the first time." Watchtower 1992 March 1 p.27
Baptism as a Jehovah's Witness is a binding verbal contract with the Watchtower Society and as such baptising minors is wrong both legally and scripturally. Never is the baptism of a minor mentioned in the Bible. Jesus was not baptised until he was 30 and Jews felt a person became an adult at 30. When Cornelius and his family were baptised it does not state that any non adults were baptised and there is no scriptural evidence of any children or teenagers ever being baptised. A child's knowledge and ideas change dramatically between the teens and twenties, and for this reason the law protects the rights of minors. A minor is usually not permitted by law to enter contracts, drink, vote, join the army or marry.
When a person baptised as a minor chooses they no longer wish to be known as a Jehovah's Witness they are regularly disfellowshipped. Once this happens that teenager may not associate freely with family or friends for the remainder of their life! Even a person that is still a child they can be disfellowshipped.
"When a baptized minor becomes involved in wrongdoing that threatens the cleanness of the congregation, the assigned committee should meet with such individual just as they would with any other member of the congregation." Pay Attention to Yourself and to All the Flock p.98
Wellllll;
Quite frankly I am not up on this issue, and cannot make an intelligent comment, but I would like to ask readers to make it simple for me, if you would, please.
1.) Did the Watchtower Commit Perjury? (Yes..or No?)
2. a One sentence reason why they did or did not (keep it simple..)
3. Did the courts ever rule that the Watchtower did or did not commit perjury? (Yes or No?)
It drives me nuts when I see "questions" on the face of the Watchtower or Awake "Is Halloween for Christians?" or suchlike things. As an engineer, the answer is yes or no.
...next question please...
Thank you,
Tom.Rook@Technik-SA.US
READ AGAIN,
"In respect of the refusal of blood transfusion, the applicant
association(JW's) submits that there are NO RELIGIOUS SANCTIONS for a Jehovah's
Witness WHO CHOOSES TO ACCEPT BLOOD transfusion and that, therefore, the
fact that the religious doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses is against blood
transfusion cannot amount to a threat to "public health".
I say,
I guess that could be called a big lie or in court "perjury". Here's another big lie...
"...as regards the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses with children THE APPLICANT ASSOCIATION SUBMITS that CHILDERN CANNOT BECOME MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION but only participate, together with their parents, in the religious activities of the community."
LIES, LIES, LIES. Fact of matter is,
"BAPTISIM as a Jehovah's Witness is a BINDING VERBAL CONTRACT WITH THE WATCHTOWER SOCIETY and as such baptising minors is WRONG both LEGALLY and SCRIPTUALLY. NEVER is the BAPTISM MENTIONED in the Bible. Jesus was not baptised until he was 30..."
"When a person baptised as a minor chooses they no longer wish to be known as a Jehovah's Witness they are regularly disfellowshipped. Once this happens that teenager may not associate freely with family or friends for the remainder of their life! Even a person that is still a child they can be disfellowshipped."
I say,
VERY SAD INDEED THAT THIS SOCIETY THAT CLAIMS TO REPRESENT TRUTH AND THE HIGHEST OF STANDARDS, JEHOVAH'S, IT FAILS MISERABLY...."BY CONSIOUS CHOICE".
tom rook said regarding his question and your answer,
"2.(give) a One sentence reason why they did or did not (keep it simple..)"
I ask,
Why do you ask for a simple one line answer when we must endure your 2 page responses? (keep it simple...PLEASE TOM)
chocklatepuddingeyes,
WELL DONE, THANK YOU.

For those of you who like one-sentence statements, this serve nicely to describe the ethics of Jehovah's Witnesses. Knowing that...
Q: Would you be willing to hire an individual if you knew them to practice this?
Q: If you had been considering marring her, would leaning this make you reconsider that notion?
Q: On a continuum between Jehovah God, and Satan the Father of Lies, where do you think deliberate deceit fits?

Thank you Kimmy Jo for your responses on this matter – it helped me, who also was not up on this particular subject. (There are so many, it’s difficult to keep abreast of them all.)
What interests me is how anyone can try to stretch the truth. The truth is not something to stretch. It’s like non-stretchable fabric – try to stretch it and it develops holes. Those holes represent “untruths”.
