For "ronde" Who Does Not Believe That The Watchtower Has Ever Had Flip/Flop Doctrines

Poor "ronde". She is so innocent and naive. She defends the Watchtower at every turn and refuses to believe anything negative about them. She is a good obedient Jehovah's Witness. She is doing exactly what she is taught to do. When confronted with anything negative, just say that it is all lies, all lies.
Good for you "ronde". However, dear, everything negative about the Watchtower is most likely not a lie. As a matter of fact, this religion is built on a series of never ending flip flop teachings. Take for instance, your insistence that the Watchtower never had flip/flop doctrines. The truth is they have had flip/flops and they flopped back again.
Here are examples of just a few of the flip/flops. To list more would require more space and time. At the moment, I have neither.
Who is The 'Lord' as mentioned in Romans 10:12-16?
1903 - 'Lord' refers to Jesus.
1940 - 'Lord' refers to Jehovah.
1978 - 'Lord' refers to Jesus.
1980 - 'Lord' refers to Jehovah.
Will the people of Sodom and Gomorrah be eligible for resurrection?
1879 - Will be resurrected
1955 - Will not be resurrected
1965 - Will be resurrected
1967 - Will not be resurrected
1974 - Will be resurrected
1988 - Will not be resurrected
1988 - Will be resurrected
1989 - Will not be resurrected
Is blood, blood serum and blood fractions allowed?
1940 Blood transfusions are acceptable
1945 Blood transfusion are not acceptable
1956 Blood serums should be treated as blood and are banned
1958 Blood serums and fractions acceptable
1959 Storage of own blood unacceptable
1961 Blood fractions are not acceptable
1964 Blood fractions are acceptable
1974 Blood serums are personal choice
1975 Hemophilia treatments (Factor VII & IX) are not acceptable
1978 Hemophilia treatments (Factor VII & IX) are acceptable
1982 Albumin is acceptable
1983 Hemodilution is acceptable
1990 Hemodilution is not acceptable (Blood Brochure)
1995 Hemodilution is acceptable
When will the separating of the 'sheep and goats' take place? (Matt. 25:31-46)
1919 - will take place after the time of tribulation
1923 - is taking place now, before the tribulation.
1995 - will take place after the tribulation
What is the "generation" of Matthew 24:34?
1920s - The anointed
1930s to 1995 - Those old enough to witness the events of 1914
1995 - Wicked people not necessarily alive in 1914
2008 - The anointed (see teachings of the 1920s...)

ronde keeps separating herself from the Watchtower but yet defends it's teachings...???
It shows how powerful the Watchtower actually is, in that it can get people to actually think and speak in the same bumbled, confusing flip flop manner.
I also think ronde is a man sounding off as a woman in distress(personal opinion, my own).

Yes, understanding of the Bible has been a long journey. But please tell me this:
1) Who has brought Gods name to the fore and does not shy away from honoring it? (Jehovah) Who honors the king designate, Jesus, as the King of this kingdom that will crush and put an end to all existing governments on this earth?
2) Who has collected from all nation, tribes, peoples and tongues together in a brotherhood all over the earth that are in agreement of Bible understanding?
3) Who is preaching "the good news of the kingdom" over all the earth, free to anyone, on their own time and with the motivation to help others find help in this wicked world?
4) Who offers it free of charge to anyone wanting to learn? The books are free, the one calling is free, there is no tithing or plates passed in a Kingdom Hall.
5) Who is completely neutral in the whole earth as far as politics, fighting wars and engaging in political conflicts?
6) Who understands better that this world is lying in the power of the wicked one (Satan)and then warns people about it?
7) Who teaches the truth about where are the dead, no hell fire suffering? The ressurection of the dead to earth?
8) Who promotes the Bible based hope that this earth will be restored to an earthly paradise once again to fullfill God's original plan?
9) Who tries to be no part of this wicked world by avoiding its cultural holidays, where ever they are practiced in the world?
10) Who is trying to tell people we are in the last days and it is time to turn to Jehovah for help?
11) Who has no PAID clergy? What organization does not hold the servants in the congregation up as superior to others?
12) What organization encourages, prompts and applauds everyone on this earth to look to the Bible for answers AND THEN produces Bibles and literature at no cost to the reader so they can read the Bible? FREE FREE FREE (Come drink lifes waters free...)
13) What religion has rejected all forms of idol and statue worship in their place of worship and in their lives?
14) WHAT GROUP OF PEOPLE HAS DONE ALL OF THIS AND MORE.....I could go on and on but I don't have the time.
If over time we have a better understanding of some things written in the Bible ( the generation, sheep and goats, Sodom and Gomorrah) I fail to see how that negates the things sited above. Only Jehovah's Witnesses are preaching the good news of the kingdom. Any mistakes will be judged by Jehovah. But if you want to use these adjustments of understanding as an excuse to leave off serving Jehovah....then I guess there will be plenty of insignificant things to choose from. I am sorry you let these things bother you because in larger scope.....well they just don't matter.

You are so wrong in your comments. A smattering of truth in a web of deceit does not make an organization used by Jehovah.

Jehovahs Witnesses are a man made man governed religion without scriptural support or Gods blessing. they have inserted a false mediator (WTBTS) even before the ransom of Jesus here on earth.

They have brought Jehovahs name to the fore..yes...and he will extract justice for the falsehoods they have promoted IN HIS name.

Lol, the circular reasoning that's used to defend a man-made ideology. Use your brain and think (anonymous1)!!!

anonymous,
1)...and does not shy away from dis-honoring his name by changing his WORD to fit their needs. Who takes the place of Jesus as the only mediator between man and God? answer: the Watchtower.
2)...in agreement??? that's a joke. "ronde" is a fine example of this unity in understanding. There are many other groups that feel all humans(nationality, language religion, no problem) were created equal and treat them as such, with dignity and respect, NOT rejecting them for any belief difference.
3)preaching "the good news of the kingdom"...OK. REALLY? The Mormons preach their rhetoric according to something Bible based along with the book of Mormon, you use the Watchtower.
4)$$$$ahhh...but there is much talk about the $$$$$ how you should give, give, give and give...
they don't let you forget that the love of money is evil, as they(the org.) continue to buy real estate.
5)completely...really??? don't think so.
6)Satan is alive and full of power in the organization of JW's, they continue to live with fear he is trying to devour them at every turn. Satan is powerless within truth, Satan himself fears truth. So why are you afraid?
7)it is a good thing to learn that death is a sleep like state and we are unconscious, not suffering or crying in agony because we did not Satan "made us" do something and now we are not getting resurrected.
8)FIRST God must get rid of all the powerful, greedy organizations, primarily religion and government, agree? Oh, that includes the all mighty Watchtower.
9)do you wear a wedding ring, use a clock, a calendar?, they are of pagan origin, so is the Watchtower.
10)only according to the Watchtower.
11) OMG! are you kidding, the lowly hourly preacher, the pioneer the ministerial servant, the elder...what do you mean no one is superior? FUNNY. and then each and every JW on earth feels superior to worldly people.
12)every hotel bedside table can prove you wrong.
13)certainly not the JW's, the idolization and worship of something is a broad term and as humans it is unattainable to not idolize or worship someone or something such as the idolization of the Watchtower by the JW's.
14)and the sad thing is that it has all been done in God's magnificent name.

"You are so wrong in your comments" Oh really? Which one of the many that I listed are wrong? I wouldn't call just the few I listed as "a smattering" ; but them again, you are welcome to your opinion. It is not productive to make those blanket statements. Jehovah's Witnesses honor Jesus Christ as King designate over a kingdom that is going to cleanse the earth of wickedness. The only one we put above Jesus, is Jehovah.

And yes, I totally agree Jehovah God will hold each of us responsible for our actions; whether we are an organization or individuals. I am content to see Jehovah do the judging through his son, Jesus. You should be content to let Jehovah sort out all the wrinkles....and mean time....WHO is doing the preaching work in these last days?? "...and this good news of the knigdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come." Matt 24:14 The answer is....Jehovah's Witnesses.

Oh my, where do I start? I will take door number three; the preaching of the Good News world wide.

The Worldwide Organization of Jehovah's Witness is organized and dedicated to preaching the good news of the coming kingdom and it's benefits to mankind. Every person who claims to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses is an ACTIVE "minister" all of their lives. If they are not active, they really aren't one of Jehovah's witnesses. ( Unlike the Mormans who do a 2 year mission and then quit their preaching.)That is not to say some are not doing the preaching work, some are coming in, some are going out. We all know our individual responsibility. Are we perfect? No. But we are gathered together to get this work done. I ask again, WHO else is doing the preaching work? By your own testimony on many of these sites you testify the we are doing this work.

You complain about JW's bothering everyone all the time at the doors. You make fun of people dedicating their lives, (pioneers who put in a designated amt of time)and doing with less. You mock the fact that some wash windows or clean buildings.... so they can be out in the ministry more. Some say no matter where they go in the WORLD...there 'they' are, those JW"s. You complain that we put out our tracts here, is Asia, in Africa, in Europe and oh yes...we all say the same thing (1 Cor 1:10), we are everywhere. We are a bother.

Yep, we are busy doing the preaching work, all 7 million of us, all over the earth. No other group of people, anywhere, is doing this work on a scale so large, on a scale so diverse, contacting so many people, dedicating so much time, NO ONE, NO ORGANIZATION!

And this is the kicker....we (Jehovah's Witnesses and the organization) really do all of this for.....FREE!

This honor of the name of God is really a great joke because in the congregations there are so many wrongdoers acording to the teachings of this religion who are living a double life and "pretend" to be good brothers for a long time and even have privileges that I can´t undrestand how they honor god or Jesus or whoever. Who are they fooling? Do they realy believe that if this Armageddon that they are preaching for, come they will be the only ones that will be rescued and for which reason? In order to fill the earth with hipocrites? If this is the case, thank you I don´t want to be there and I don´t believe to a God that loves this kind of people.

"The Worldwide Organization of Jehovah's Witness is organized and dedicated to preaching the good news of the coming kingdom and it's benefits to mankind."

Actually, the Worldwide Organization of Jehovah's Witnesses is organized and dedicated to sending out voluntary, unsuspecting dupes to recruit for its organization. More recruits equal more money for them. Soon those new recruits will make even more recruits and so the corporation gets bigger and bigger. This is all done under the guise of religion.

I stand by my statement that Jehovah's Witnesses do not have a clergy/laity class distinction. No one is paid at any of the 100,000 Kingdom Halls all over the world as a minister. Where else is that being done? Jehovah's Witnesses do not pay anyone to clean, repair or manage their Kingdom Halls. We do it all ourselves, rotating groups and responsibilties. Elders do not get any monitary compensation for their work and support of the congregations. To get this work done SOMEONE has to give direction to the millions of Jehovah's Witnesses. But the elders are not better and we all have the same Bible standards to live by. Pioneers contribute more of their time, but they aren't better. Nothing ever written in our literature puts one above another. When and if elders or pioneers are considered superior, well...that person is an imature individual who is wrong. The organization isn't wrong, the people admiring that position are wrong.

Just tell me this. Where on earth is there an organization that operates almost entirely on a volunteer basis to do such a world wide scale of preaching. And...this is important, has no one living in luxury off the backs of others who contribute.

You can't, because there is nothing like that happening. If there were....you and the media would be all over it and happy to expose such persons.

Rev 22:17 "And the spirit and the bride keep on saying: "Come!" And let anyone hearing say, "Come!" And let anyone thirsting come; let anyone who wishes take life's water free."

FREE FREE FREE FREE...get it?

Are you sure that
"And...this is important, has no one living in luxury off the backs of others who contribute."?
Please, don´t be soo sure because otherwise you would be naive.

Oh purlease anonymous1 - the fact that you buy into your delusion doesn't make your delusion correct. There's billions of muslims who're even surer than you of the rightness of their religion; they're not right either. You're just regurgitating the bile that the society has instructed you to say. You're doing such great work? By whose standards? Yours? One thing's for sure: if 'god's' idea of a perfect world was one full of empty but smug JWs, I'd rather roast in 'hell' for all eternity. (PS: Good thing hell doesn't exist either, eh..)

Anonymous said...

Hey....I am not smug, empty headed,
or a voluntary dupe. At least I don't think I am....hahahaha.

By who's standards are we doing a great work? I'd have to say by any standards of today; Jehovah's witnesses are doing an incredible, amazing, never to be repeated work. You wouldn't....but I would. :-)

Hey...who told you there was no Hell? Not the Catholics, not the Baptist, not the Hindu.....have you been listening to one of those Jehovah's witnesses? They are constantly going around and showing people from the Bible how a burning hell doesn't even exist. Nice....eh? Comforting. Have a good one.

Anonymous said...

Amazing work? Peddling useless bits of paper with contradictory words that are meant to be 'new light!' to the unsuspecting who are afraid to use their brains and achieve their potential? That's what you term 'great work'? Well, considering paradise won't have any computers, washing machines, cars - any of the things I call great in this day and age to which JWs are sorely lacking in contributing any sort of brain power to, it's not hard to see why you'd consider that great work. Repeating yourself doesn't make it true. You remain locked in your delusion.

PS: Atheism. Go do some research on what it means. It's not only JWs who don't believe in hell. As usual you're working according to your pre-determined script (probably from all those theocratic ministry school parts that sisters give...). Your smugness is actually kind of embarrassing :)

Anonymous said...

Well actually, I was attempting a little humor. I don't have a script.

Do some research on Athiests? Unfortunately not every athiest believes the same thing. Some people tell me they are athiests and then after talking awhile, come to find out they do believe in a Supreme Being, or whatever. I don't try to tell you what you believe, I ask questions. It was just a joke.

The Watchtower holds a carrot out to all who work for them without pay. It is actually a very cunning scam. They call the grunt workers "volunteers". They are not paid because they are all priviledged to "volunteer." The carrot that they hold out is EVERLASTING LIFE. If you work for this corporation for free you will live forever in Paradise. Only a religion could get away with this scam. Only fools would allow them to and think that they are serving God.

keng....thank you for reitterating that Jehovah's Witnesses do their ministry for FREE, FREE, FREE!

...and only a "fool" (your word, not mine) would not want to live on a peaceful, cleansed, polution-free, crime free, sick-free, death-free paradise earth.

...and apparently anonymous has some insightful information regarding the conditions in the promised Paradise? No computers? No Washing machines? No Cars? Now you must be joking, right?

Typical JW reasoning all over this page. As a former elder, former pioneer and life-long JW I see through all of your shallow rhetoric.

Let's examine number 11 of that eloquent list of half-truths.

The Governing Body have elevated themselves above ALL JWs, worldwide. Since January 2008 they have been repeating with increasing frequency the mantra 'obey the Governing Body...submit to the Governing Body...be loyal to the Governing Body'.

Show me 2 examples from Scripture that back up such a stance.

Read 2 Thess chap 2 where Paul talks about the apostasy and the man of lawlessness and the error being believed by people around the world.

The error, that God is allowing to be in place, in the belief that Christ returned in 1914 and appointed the Bible Students as his ONLY channel of communication on earth.

Now, in 2008, we have a group of men raising themselves up above all others (the rest of the 'anointed') and publicly showing themselves to be 'a God'.

JWs are told to obey this God. To submit to this God. To be loyal to this God.

This God is the Governing Body.

Wake up.

WOW, that was so informative. Well if a former elder and a former pioneer and a former JW says these things....they have to be true. I will get out right away. Thanks for your concern and your help. Those evil "Governing Body" members won't have me to push around any more. Humph!

anonymousE,
You continue to blither on and on about being the only ones doing this and that and being FREE FREE FREE. It is the same message that is pumped in your head in a slippery, cunning manner at meetings and in the literature. It is to keep you pumped up and PROUD and so then you will still continue to chase the elusive "carrot".

You guys can call Jehovah's Witness anything you want and make unsubstanciated claims till the cows come home. But what you don't do is stick to the topic.

It just bugs the snot out of all of you when we promote, glorify, honor and use the name Jehovah.
We do a unique work and we do it for free. We are world wide and we are united. We will never shoot you in a war or run for office in any country anywhere. We love you and we keep coming to your doors to bring a message of hope for the future from the Bible.

You know all of this and more is true and it makes you soooooo mad. Most of you have a gripe that is personal (you had a fight or disagreement with an elder, a sister, the governing body) and you says these hateful things because, sadly, you have nothing else to do.

Knock, knock.

Who's there?

Ronde said...

I don't believe any of those are flip flops on doctrines.

What matters is the truth, the reality not what has been printed in a publications.

Thus the truth or reality has never changed.

For example, whether the Sodomites will be resurrected has not changed because it has not happened yet. Thus nothing changed. They are still dead.

The separating of sheep and goats has not change. Apostates left the faith and became goats. Done deal.

I don't defend the Watchtower's teachings. I defend the Bible and Jehovah's Witnesses as a people - a religion.

Think about it. If it were man made, as Gamelial said, it would have died off. Just as there has to be gold backing the dollar for there to be value in the dollar, there has to be gold - the Bible - backing the true religion for it to have value and it most certainly does.

Think about it, if the Catholics were man made, they would have died off, if the Baptists were man made, they would have died off, if the Pentecostals were man made they would have died off. Your criteria for who has the truth, i.e that it hasn't 'died off,' applies to so many faiths, most of whom are far far older than Jehovah's Witnesses.

Also, according to your reasoning, it does not matter which religion you belong to, because whatever they teach or print, it doesnt change the truth. Every religion is like the JWs, because they all teach some truth and the rest does not matter, according to you.

Which teachings actually do matter to you Ronde?

Well, they did die off as being a religion. They are not a religion, but a show.

People like Catholicism because it suits them, not because it is the truth.

" if the Baptists were man made, they would have died off, if the Pentecostals were man made they would have died off."

Ditto.

" Your criteria for who has the truth, i.e that it hasn't 'died off,' applies to so many faiths, most of whom are far far older than Jehovah's Witnesses."

I was just stating What Gamelial said in Acts. So the reasoning is not mine.

"Also, according to your reasoning,"

Not my reasoning.

" it does not matter which religion you belong to, because whatever they teach or print, it doesnt change the truth. Every religion is like the JWs, because they all teach some truth and the rest does not matter, according to you.
Which teachings actually do matter to you Ronde?"

No, you don't get it.

Start with psalms 83:18. Jehovah is the only true God.

Next John 3:16. Jesus is his son and putting faith in him will give us life.

That is the truth. No matter what anyone says, that does not change.

Since only JWs believe that, we have the truth.

Jehovah's Witnesses would not know the truth if it smacked them upside the head. Don't you get tired of says WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO DO THIS, WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO BELIEVE THIS, so we must have the truth? You simply are not making sense.

Why don't people bring us the truth? All people here are doing is gossip and slander.

Well, we are the only ones who do things like preaching the kingdom and believing in it. Where is everyone else?

"You simply are not making sense.
There is a religion who believes that in order to please God they have to include snakes in their worship. They are the only religion that does this. They have a scripture that supports their practice. They must have the truth."

But they misuse that scripture because that has nothing to do with God's will and purpose and kingdom.

Witnesses- the point you're missing here is when you go on and on about your preaching work and quote this random scripture or that to back up your fabricated doctrine, it's meaningless to the rest of us because we do not suscribe to the doctrines of your religeon. The watchtower society is NOT the sole authority on the bible. In fact they're not even a good one- for example, several greek scholars call the New World Translation a horrible translation- (In reference to the altered passage "The Word was God" to "The Word was a god"... among others) They take alot of unrelated scriptures and string them together to cobble together "the truth". In fact at your next meeting, when you have to look up a scripture, read a little before and a little after to see the often very unrelated context. Try it- it's funny.

Anyone who knows witnesses (yes I know quite a few) knows that they are quite prone to the same behaviors prevalent in "the world", so the proclamations of living by a higher standard are pretty meaningless. Happy? I think we all know that's not true. That facade has been infiltrated by too many non believers and former believers to hold up. Strong families? I know of several families split up for no other reason than one partner didn't swallow this crap. Being "scripturally" free to re-marry is easy... just lie your ass off! (lying works for avoiding Dee- Effing too... when you come to think of it, the DFed person is probably much more truthful that your average witness!) And if you think witness families are devoid of dysfunctionality just on the merits of being in the "truth" than you should get to know them beyond the front displayed at the kingdumb hall. I do.

Easy to get out of? When in many cases your whole family and support system would shun you if you left the org, how could anyone with half a functioning brain cell possibly say that?

I thankfully was never "in" (too many alarms going off in my head at the indoctrination sessions I went to being "nice", and hating every second of the self-promoting drivel). But I have family who is, and I worry about them, not because of their desire to live clean lives, but because of the unhealthy effects of being members of a cult- unhealthy attitudes and time wasted pushing worthless doctrine for the benefit of a book publishing empire which is more concerned with promoting it's interests than the interests of it's members. You say they're earning Eternal Life on Paradise Earth? I say that's only one of a multitude of fabrications aimed at inspiring the worship of an earthly organisation with very earthly goals.

Your beliefs are built on quicksand backed up by mickey mouse interpretation of the bible by men who had (and have) much to gain. Ever heard of Beth Sarim? Being the subjects of idolatry of millions? Is the light getting brighter yet? (That doctrine itself should be enough to tell you something!)
Your self appointed "faithful and discrete slave" elevates ITSELF to a lofty position which it certainly has no right to. And that puts it in the same class as the likes of Benny Hinn and Earnest Angley- swindling snake oil salesmen all.

PS- Jehovah is an few centuries old English translation of the Hebrew name YAHWEH. So while you all are making a big deal about using a name, there's a big possibility that it's not the correct one.

PSS- witnesses, you're NOT supposed to be reading this stuff. You might have an... I almost dare not type it... independent thought! Oh HORRORS! You need to go to the elders to get your thinking re-adjusted. And while they're at it, have them wind the key in your back a few more times and shove the stick up your ass a little further =)

Please investigate this organisation- if it really does have the "truth", it should hold up under close INDEPENDENT scrutiny, right? And JWs do not have the a monopoly on leading a good life- that can be easily obtained independent (there's that word again!) of the teachings of the JWs.

I agree totally.

"Please investigate this organisation- if it really does have the "truth", it should hold up under close INDEPENDENT scrutiny, right?"

Since I am the organization, or at least 1/7 millionth of it, how can I investigate myself? AFterall, isn't that what matters, me rather than them?

" And JWs do not have the a monopoly on leading a good life- that can be easily obtained independent (there's that word again!) of the teachings of the JWs."

A good life is not enough. It is the preaching with the congregations, as Matt 24:14 and Revelation 1& 2 says.

" The watchtower society is NOT the sole authority on the bible. "

We never say that it is. We say that Jehovah's Witnesses are.
