"Stand Firm Against the Devil’s Crafty Acts"

- In the Field of Education

In other words, WT wouldn't want you to gain any critical thinking skills.

In order to manage a 'Mass Movement', you have to keep the masses agitated. You must you keep them busy, broke, ignorant and anticipating an apocalypse at any moment. Leaders must generate a sense of real urgency, and maintain it, even though they've been saying it since 1874.

Sure, education is a 'Personal Decision'. This is where we are introduced to "Brother Some".

"Some brothers have decided that spending their youth in the full-time ministry was the best way of life in their loyal service to Jehovah."

Read Between the Lines = Do What Brother Some Does if You Want to Be Exemplary

I wonder how you get the information about the letter send to the body of elders. you are really an hypocrite, I really wonder who's giving you these informations, you have an hypocrite elder on the inside do you.
let's see you probably still a witness an elder, acting like you are a sheep. or you have an elder on the inside an hypocrite one, giving you these informations.

the information you had about changing the hours of Regular pioneer seems to be a lie so far.

I hope that the brothers find out about you or the one from the inside who's giving you private information to yakee yak.

like the apostates in the time of Apostle Paul you think you know better than the governing body keep dreaming, you or the one who are using will get caught soon. I promise you of that.

for now keep yakeeeeee yakkkkkkkk

No frank, those information are discussed in many forums, and posted in some JW's website (blog).
I even have the program for 08/09 Circuit Assembly from one of JW's blog.

GBL just surf, copy and paste.
Many times he certainly didn't recheck what he is about to paste.

For instance, about the new meeting arrangement in 2009, he wrote that it was sent as letter to elders. WRONG! It was written in October KM.
Another one is his post about children who forced to sit quietly in meetings FIVE times a week. WRONG! JW only have as much as THREE times of meeting per week, not to consider that in many places JW only have TWO.

So he is not in (maybe he was, but then he must knew that JW have 3 times of meeting) the congregation, and has no informant inside.

Yes there are some brothers who post inside information from spanish congregation. Investigation is on the way.

Anonymous said...

I bet ij GBL posted that JWs had 3 or 2 meetings a week you'd be saying "you are WRONG, we have 5".

Frank, when you state hypocrite, do you mean like an organization that bans blood transfusions, but allows its members to eat red meat which contains whole blood and is ingested every time it is eaten?

Or do you mean an organization which points to the bloodguilt of other religious organizations, while its own members die needlessly due to an unscriptural basis of not accepting blood transfusions?

Is hypocrite in the same sense as an organization which bans holidays and birthdays because of Pagan origins, but still celebrates weddings, anniversaries and all of its encompassing rituals which are also of Pagan origins?

When you say apostate, do you mean in the sense of how Jesus was one? So you mean like how Jesus’ disciples where apostates? Do you mean apostate in the same sense as any follower of Jesus? If you are using the term apostate as someone who deviates from what may be perceived as (“the true”) religion; then yes, Jesus, his apostles, and all other followers of Christ were/are apostates.

If you mean apostate in the sense of someone who goes against the teaching of Christ (Which is the biblical definition of apostate), then all those that deny the deity of Christ, as clearly defined at John 1:1, as found in most Bibles, including the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society’s 1969 Edition of the Kingdom Interlinear Translation supports, as well as Thomas own proclamation of such, and Jesus’ approval not rebuttal of the statement, then I believe it is clear who the apostates are in this discussion:

John 20:28: "In answer Thomas said to Him [Jesus] "My Lord and my God!"
John 20:29: "Jesus said to him: "Because you have seen me have you believed? Happy are those who do not see me and yet believe."

Jesus did not correct Thomas, because Thomas correctly identified Him as his Lord and His God. You can try and twist and interpret those scriptures, but reading them as provided to us by God Almighty, clearly shows Jesus to be God. Denying that is apostasy.

Sorry, bud. GBL was dead on about the drop in pioneer hours. They just announced it at our hall.

Anonymous said...

Frank, keep reading, brother. You'll learn ALL SORTS of true things on the Internet that the brothers at the Hall won't tell you.

You've entrusted your very life into the hands of these trusted men, and their explanation of the Scriptures.

As soon as I learned that I had been misled, I did months of research, checking the references in the Society publications. Once I proved to myself that what so-called 'apostates' had to say was actually true, I had to leave.

The Bible and my relationship with Jesus are far more important than my relationship with an organization.
I was truly overjoyed when I learned that hundreds of thousands of people around the world have learned what I did. We now are a part of a new brotherhood of ex-JWs, each of us with a unique story. Our trials and tribulations form a bond that gives us something in common.

We spend our time on forums/blogs/websites like this one, in an attempt to help anyone that might open their mind to the truth. Often time, only after a JW has had a 'defining moment' in the congregation, can they allow themselves to even imagine that the organization is not really God's organization. This is because of years of training, designed to make you repulse at even the slightest remark that might be critical of what you refer to as 'Christ's brothers'. I feel your pain.

You may enjoy what this Awake magazine from 1987 said. I agree wholeheartedly with what is stated here:

“If, after making an honest investigation, you are less than pleased with what you
see, do more than just complain. . . . Church members . . . are responsible for
what the church says and does. So ask yourself: Am I willing to share
responsibility for everything my church says and does? . . . But your life depends
upon being 100 percent sure. . . . Make your choice accordingly.” (Awake!, Sept.
8, 1987, pp. 19-11)

Pastor
I have recently come to the same conclusion about the occurence of a 'defining moment' for us to move to a higher understanding. Would you see it as evidence of Jehovah watching over us? I note that so many people who have left the WT Society had formerly been extremely active and devout and had a long history as Witnesses. We felt abandoned by Jehovah for a long time but recently feel he has guided us to a better place. Does that ring true for you?

So much for critical thinking skills that your education gave you. This is not the Watchtower's material.

Some criticize that JWs are janitors and window washers, but they don't have student loans burdening them down.

'Voice of Reason'. Who gave you that name? Did you give it to yourself? The same way that 'The Faithful & Discreet Slave' gave themselves their name.

Please explain this statement.

There is nothing dishonorable about being a janitor or a window washer. There is also nothing wrong with a student loan.

Do you work for a living? If so, would you like to make as much money as possible for every hour that you work?

S said...

The Watchtower does not produce assemblies.

Note that the convention program says "arranged by the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses."

The circuit programs are by the circuit and are produced by the teaching committee overseen by the governing body.

If it were Watchtower material than Don Adams or Max Larson would be overseeing it as they preside over the Watchtower Societies.

VoR states: "The Watchtower does not produce assemblies."

Dude,
When we say Watchtower. We mean your religion. Whatever you call it. JW, Watchtower, FDS, GB. Semantics.

If you get a speeding ticket and you say. Oh I didn’t get a ticket from the state of NY, it was officer Bob. Or it was not officer Bob it was the state of NY. Look Bob represents the state of NY. Same thing buddy.

When you call Bethel they now say you have reached Jehovah’s Witnesses. They used to say Watchtower. Same diff. I have four names. I don’t tell people oh ‘alias’ did that, not me. I am ‘alias’. All four names are still ME. Mr.J.

No it is not semantics, it is your constant blaming of others. Your need to find cracks in the Watchtower in that you want it to go down so you think everything else will go down. Well that is not how it works.

You've officially jumped the shark, nuked the frige and stuck your head in the sand. Pot meet kettle. It's Watchtower that knocks on everyone's door to "find cracks" in everyone's religion.

Why do JWs think that apostates want to stop the preaching work or destroy Watchtower (or whatever VoR wants to call it)?

Personally, I like the First Amendment. If someone, from a position of KNOWLEDGE, chooses to be a part of a mind control group, by all means do so.

In my own case, I was misled. I didn't even know my mind was being controlled. I was a member, from a position of IGNORANCE.

This is what most of the so-called apostates that I know object to.

It goes without saying that once a person realizes they are standing in boiling water, they are likely to jump out. This is often the natural flow of things.

I would never want anyone to leave until they have PROVEN to themself, from the Bible, that God doesn't have a 'sole channel' on the earth today, in the sense of a particular denomination or brand of religion.

Naturally, most JWs would indeed leave their faith, should they discover that it's not the only true religion.

What we are promoting is accurate knowledge, in contrast to INFORMATION CONTROL, that I was previously a victim of.

And all your other comments, like immediately above are so sincere - it has a ring of truth!

James and J, you are so dead on, too.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge!

But you all rejected the truth. You all are the ones with the closed minds as all you can do is copy from other sites. So sad.

It's been so many years JW has 5 meetings per week, BUT THEY ARE HELD IN 3 SEPARATE TIMES (DAYS).

SO when GBL said JW children have to sit quietly FIVE TIMES a week, it's plainly WRONG.

So please read before copy-pasting text.

Anonymous said...

To the contrary. We rejeced the lie. You have never examined what we have. You are forbidden to do so. I have already been a JW. I have already proven to myself that it is not true.

Again, your sincerity and the sincerity of 7 million JWs or 10 million Mormons or 1 billion Muslims doesn't equal truth.

The Bible must be our guide. Not the Watchtower magazine or an elder's guide.

When something is written in the Watchtower magazine that has no Scriptural support, it must be rejected.

"Once people become thoroughly convinced that God is
speaking to them directly or by means of some other person
or organization they must act in harmony with their belief
or else feel guilty before God Almighty if ever they were to
disagree or fail to follow the directions being given." - Don Cameron

VofR states:
"But you all rejected the truth."

From M-W.com
"the body of real things, events, and facts : actuality"

We did not reject truth in the dictionary sense. We reject the false religious teachings of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses which they have given the alias ‘truth’ to. If I said my name is ‘what’s right’ and every time you disagreed with me I said ‘but you are opposed to ‘What’s Right’’ it would be pretty misleading. The same thing is going on here.

Semantics, Paul stated that Apostate Christians like the JW’s would use them when he said at Romans 1:25 (NIV) “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”

Revelation 21:3&4 is a false teaching to you? That is truth.
We teach it.

VoR:

We believe that JWs teach some truth. Their views of morality are excellent. They are good neighbors, too. Revelation 21:3, 4 is a wonderful Scripture. We certainly have this in common.

However, the documented false teachings of JWs, while they maintain they are God's sole channel, are what trouble us.

The WT magazine is viewed as 'a letter from Jehovah'. Well, if it were, the doctrines wouldn't change. Obviously, the Watchtower magazine - just like anything other than the Bible - is merely a man's opinion.

Christians follow Christ alone. They are guided by Holy Spirit. They recognize no man's authority over them.

Pastor said:
"the documented false teachings of JWs, while they maintain they are God's sole channel, are what trouble us."

There are no documented false teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses.

And what is the problem of being the sole channel? If you were one of Jehovah's Witnesses, you would be proud to be that sole channel.

"The WT magazine is viewed as 'a letter from Jehovah'. Well, if it were, the doctrines wouldn't change."

I disagree. People have the right to view it as that if they want. You don't have the right to take that away from them.

And I don't think that changing of doctrines means bad. Think about it. I mean really THINK ABOUT IT.

If things didn't change, that means that issue 1 in July 1879, Russell would have had to print Insight type books with everything all laid out. Then we today would be using them. Then we would be Russellites. We would be followers of Russell. We don't want that.

And how would Russell get that information to print? He would be inspired way beyond anyone before him, even more than Jesus.

How would he write about things specific to the future of him?

THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR STATEMENT IS IT WAS NEVER THOUGHT OUT.

" Obviously, the Watchtower magazine - just like anything other than the Bible - is merely a man's opinion."

And that is bad, how?

"Christians follow Christ alone. They are guided by Holy Spirit. They recognize no man's authority over them. "

That would be nice if it were possible. But it is not possible to follow christ alone.

The fact that Jesus gave John messages to 7 congregations shows that they can not follow Christ alone. They had to look to John for those messages.
