Elders Are Chosen By Jehovah's Holy Spirit and Should Be Honored and Obeyed

Bethel member arrested for nude photos and other crimes against children*
*Bethel is a term to describe the headquarters for Jehovah's Witnesses
J. Manuel Cano was a member of the Walkill Bethel Family for sixteen years. He was a Bethel Elder until the arrangement was discarded last year and simply remained an elder as were all elders at Bethel. He was a book Study Conductor and assisted in the Kingdom Ministry School in the Newburg Spanish Congregation. He was regarded as a very studious man and spiritual leader that was very active in the door to door work of Jehovah's Witnesses. Cano was arrested by police for passing out nude pictures of himself that were sexually suggestive to minors that included his telephone number. The enclosed news stories provide the details of the case.

Goshen — A 50-year-old Jehovah's Witness has been found guilty of trying to lure underage boys in Middletown to have anal sex with him and pose for nude photographs.Jesus Cano was detained by Middletown police on June 24. Cano had been handing out a small packet of papers that included a written note, several pictures of his naked buttocks and a name, phone number and e-mail address. When the aunt of one of the boys called police, Det. Tom Miller posed as the boy, called the number on the card, and set up a meeting with Cano for later that night. When he arrived at the agreed meeting place, police took Cano in and later arrested him.Cano was indicted on two felony counts and seven misdemeanor counts, two of which were dismissed by Judge Jeffrey Berry ahead of trial.During the two-day, non-jury trial, Cano's lawyer John Ingrassia tried to show that there was insufficient evidence to prove Cano planned to go through with his intent to have sex of take naked photographs of a minor. But Berry ruled today that there was sufficient evidence to find Cano guilty on five of the seven counts against him, including the two felonies. He will be sentenced on Nov. 27. Assistant District Attorney Melissa Ferraro said she will be asking for the maximum of 2 2/3 to 7 years in prison.Cano is a Mexican national with a valid visa to reside in the U.S. That visa will be revoked now that he's been convicted of a felony, and he will be deported after he serves his sentence.

DOES THAT PROOF JEHOVAH WITNESSES ARE NOT THE TRUE ORGANIZATION. THINK AGAIN, THIS IS A SIMPLE ANSWER FOR YOU.
WHAT ABOUT IF YOU WAS LIVING IN ISRAEL TIME AND YOU HEARD OF THOSE OFFERING THEIR CHILDREN IN SACRIFICE TO FALSE gods BURNING THEM IN FIRE see 2 KINGS 16:3
WOULD THINK ISRAEL IS NOT GOD'S PEOPLE?
imagine that buring your own children in fire to false god?
What about Judas? would you think Jesus was not God Son simply Judas Betray him for money?
there are many more examples in the bible of individual members of God's people who acted very, very, bad.
Because some of Jehovah witnesses are accused of child abuse is not a proof we are not God's people.

contrary to your lie, Elders don't hide child abuser. The law of privacy is very complicated, very complex, elders always follow the Laws in the states they are living dealing with child abusers.

child abuse is very rare among Jehovah Witnesses but it can happen like the israelites who burned their children in fire to false gods, some today can become corrupted by satan world and do very, very, very bad things.

There are a million Witnesses in the USA. In a city of a million people, you are going to get some child molesters. That is tragic but it is a fact. You can't blame the city's inhabitants for that, or even the city's leaders, as long as they are doing all they reasonably can to prevent abuse and deal with offenders.

So he was in Bethel? That doesn't mean that they knew what he was doing, does it? We can't monitor everyone all the time and even if we did, we'd be roundly criticized for it.

I believe Jehovah's Witnesses have an excellent policy on child molestation, which is explained here.

Defender... you are disillusioned and pathetic if you think that it is "rare among Jehovah's witnesses". In the last 10 years over 6000 cases of child molestation, rape and abuse have come out. Perpetrated by JWs, Elders, even travelling overseers. Your made up religion is like every other religion. You don't have anything special. Even the name Jehovah is a non-sensical made up word. Put down your Watchtower and Awake! magazines, read real TRUTH from court documents, arrests, etc. ALL OVER THE INTERNET.

It's very indicative of the flaw of your made-up religion (started in 1876 when Russell and Barbour decided to make money) when you would call someone who is alerting the world to the abuse that is covered up (I've seen the letters from the GB saying NOT TO ALERT THE POLICE IN CASES OF ALLEGED ABUSE - you Pharisees!)and hurting children a Judas. Take the rafter out, you hypocritical, hyper-critical worker of false ideologies.

And STOP calling your religion "The Truth". If you HAD the truth, your core doctrines (the Gentile times, Christ's return, etc.) wouldn't change every few years. "Brighter light" means "we were wrong". If you were wrong, and directed by god, wouldn't that make HIM wrong?

COMMON SENSE should steer anyone away from this made-up, atrocious whore of a religion.

(The UN partnering and the joining of Jimmy Swaggert in a legal battle is evidence of the whoring out of this religion.)

And yes, Defender. I speak from experience as a very happy ex-JW. You may call me apostate, I call myself free.

" By their acts you will know them..." He knew at the time what he was doing was wrong and he did it anyway. He didn't listen to his inner voice that said NOT to do it. There is no god. believe it, we are all just specs of dust on a spinning rock in a universe so vast you can't even comprehend it. We will all be dead long before anyone from another planet could reach us and vice versa.
