Buzz Words Used In Watchtower Publications

The next time that you read a book or magazine published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, see how many of these buzz words and phrases you come across.

This Clearly Shows . . .
Obviously . . .
The Bible plainly says . . . (Even if the Bible plainly says something, the Watchtower is expert in twisting that scripture to mean something else.)
Logically . . . (I love this one. It means that "we are guessing here". We're probably wrong, but for now we'll take a chance.")
Has clearly shown . . .
Justifiably . . .
We have clearly seen . . .
Surly this is reasonable . . .
The evidence shows . . .
We might reasonable assume. . . (This is another good one. Reasonable to whom?)
The evidence should be clear . . .
Most/Many Scholars . . . (What scholars? Name them. Who are these scholars. I am beginning to think that it is a family named "Scholars.")
Reasonably, then . . .
Surely then . . .
Thus the facts make clear . . . (The Watchtower made up the facts.)
Truly . . .
What must one do . . .
Apparently...
Most certainly...
Of course...
Isn't it reasonable to conclude... (We don't really know, we're guessing.)
Possibly...
Fine examples...
Probably...
Thus, we can see
A mature christian...... (Who doesn't want to be a mature christian. After this phrase we are all apt to agree with what is being said.)

Don't read the Watchtower publications and it wouldn't matter. Listen to the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses. That is alot better

ronde, Jehovah's Witnesses get their teachings from the Watchtower. If you listen to Jehovah's Witnesses they are telling you information that they learned from the Watchtower magazine. As a witness you must read the Watchtower.

Well done. Very good post. It's something I myself have noticed - how they use leading words to sucker people into adopting ridiculous beliefs..

GB Letters, aka anonymous:

Jehovah's Witnesses get their teachings from the Bible. The Watchtower means that they watch for fulfillment of prophesy.

So the magazine is a means of the congregation overseers to teach the whole congregation. Nothing wrong with that. But the people still use the Bible as the foundation of the understanding.
