Watchtower Corporations

SOME OF THESE WILL SURPRISE YOU: I have captured nearly all Watchtower Society corporations in the United States. I have placed those of greatest interest at the top. I also have access to the financial reports of many of the more important ones. I will publish that list in a separate post soon. I have an additional list of about 40 to 50 other Watchtower corporations, and will compare these to weed out duplicates, then post a Revised Edition. Yes, there are more US based Watchtower corporations beside the over 100 named below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All of these are separately “registered” Watchtower corporations and “not” local congregations, and have “slightly different name” designations. When a corporation registers with a state, their corporate name must be EXACT ... and any slight changes, SUCH AS ABBREVIATIONS, MISPELLINGS, CAPITALIZATIONS, PERIODS, AND COMMAS ARE IMPORTANT and are made part of that exact corporate name. There is a legal purpose for this. Many of these “at the end” show up as Kingdom Halls, but that is because they use a Kingdom Hall for a Branch or Special operation. When a Congregation or Kingdom Hall is named as “DBA” it is being used by the Watchtower Society for additional purposes, such as Conventions, distribution centers or other legal needs.
It has taken me a long time to compile this. It may be shared with any lawyer that is involved in lawsuit against the Watchtower Society so that they can more quickly get the court to make Citations of Discovery of Assets:

GENERAL NY CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS, SUBSIDARIES, SPECIAL OPERATIONS:
Watchtower Bible & Tract Society (dba "Jehovahs Witnesses") Buffalo, NY Headquarters

ADDRESSES OF KEY OPERATIONS: I now have access to the "complete or partially complete" reports on the Society's businesses, suppliers, credit, and background of the following Watchtower related corporations. Some of these seem like duplicates, but they "may" represent various operations and subsidiaries, such as printing factories, or shipping operations. Some of them, I do not yet know what their specific purpose is. The Watchtower Society has so many corporations that it is hard to track it all ... and I just don't have the time to keep tracking all of this information:

Wow! This represents a lot of digging. There is not a lot of transparency in the Society's structure. I wonder what the average publisher would think if they were aware of the purpose of all of these corporations. I am curious but didn't know where to begin to uncover the layers. I appreicate your work so far and will eagerly await what more you reveal.

kimmy jo said...

This also represents protection of their assets, limited liability since each corp. is set up under a different name by a word or two.

Very wise business men!!!

They really stink of hypocrisy.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Kimmy jo, it is a protection of all the assets JW's have to protect them from creeps like you who are sue crazy. They aren't dummies.

What do they dooooooo with allllll that money, money, money????????

They live in mansions, they drive Mercedes cars, wear rolex watches, dine on lobster, caviar and vintage wine. They summer at Martha's Vinyard, cruise the Oceans in their luxery yachts and but the finest clothing available to mankind. They are dripping in diamonds and laughing all the way to the bank. They own secret islands where they meet and party till the sun comes up.

The jig is up, now you know, what's it to you...Kimmy I-got-my feelings-hurt-once-and-now- blame-Jehovah's-Witness-Jo....Whaaaaaa

Why should we care?

There is nothing hypocritical about any of that. If people want to form a corporation, they can. This is America.

Thanks for this work! Now when VoR et al says that the Watchtower Society is not 'Jehovah's Witnesess' we can just point them to the scores of Watchtower corporations that are "doing business as" (DBA) Jehovahs Witnesses.

S said...

Shawn, of course the Watchtower Society is Jehovah's Witnesses. Who else works there.

But the Watchtower Society is only the legal corporation used by Jehovah's Witnesses. The Kingdom Halls are registered to various congregation corporations and such.

But the Watchtower Society is being phased out and the CCJW is being used in its place. The DC programs used to say that they were by the Watchtower Society, now they are by the governing body of JWs. The checks to the conventions used to be made to the Watch tower Bible and Tract Society, now they are made to Jehovah's Witnesses or CCJW.

So none of what you said matters. It is still the CCJW that is what matters.

and those "Watchtower Bible & Tract Society Of Pennsylvania (dba "Kingdom Hall Jhovahs Witnesses") Lake Ariel, PA Branch" are simply Kingdom Hall corporations. That may be how their deed or mortgages is listed as the WTBTS has the mortgage.

You are truly a king of double talk. In numerous posts you have stated that the Watchtower Society is not Jehovah's Witnesses. Now you're changing your tune.

The Watchtower Society is not just the legal corporation, but also the means used to provide instructions to its followers through the Watchtower magazine and other publications.

Voice of Reason, please seek professional help immediately. You probably are suffering from schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder. You need a psychiatrist and probably medication. In many of your comments, you're double talking, illogical and almost incoherent at times. You are mentally unstable.

I sure hope this is not a result of being a part of Jehovah’s Witnesses for too long.

Just in case, and for comparison and cross-reference, here is my (old, partial) list of WTS corporations.

To Voice of Reason: Sounds like the WTS's usual mantra of "simplify" is ignored when it comes to compartmentalization of assets.

Yes, by itself, this, one piece of evidence could be (weakly and unsuccessfully) defended with "so what"? But when taken in context with all the other evidence collected (at this blog and by other researchers) these items demonstrate a pattern of behaviour. I suspect that if the evidence presented were instead about any other religion, you would completely agree that it demonstrated inherently deceptive behaviour and a complete lack of divine oversight and divine blessing.

It seems the only thing preventing you from reaching that in teh case of the evidence presented about the WTS is you bias toward dismissing any and all evidence that paints WTS in a bad light.

My (old) list of WTS shell companies:

Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania,
Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc.,
International Bible Students Association (I.B.S.A.),
Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Britain,
Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Canada,
Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses,
Religious Order of Jehovah's Witnesses,
Kingdom Support Services, Inc.,
Watchtower Export Services & Trading (West) Ltd.,
Watchtower Enterprises Limited,
Watchtower Enterprises, L.L.C.,
Watchtower Associates, Ltd.,
Watchtower Foundation, Inc.,
Watch Tower Convention,
Watchtower (U K) Ltd.,
Watchtower Ltd.,

No. I just speak against those who state that JWs have to follow the Watchtower or are controlled by the Watchtower and I speak against the phrase Watchtower Organization being used for Jehovah's Witnesses. Jehovah's Witnesses is the religion, the people.

The WTS is the legal corporation used by JWs. JWs work there.

"The Watchtower Society is not just the legal corporation, but also the means used to provide instructions to its followers through the Watchtower magazine and other publications. "

Which is the same thing. Jehovah's Witnesses use the facilities at the WTS to publish the Watchtower. JWs as the CCJW also use the facilities of the WTS in Wallkill to publish the KM and other correspondence.

No. I just speak against those who state that JWs have to follow the Watchtower or are controlled by the Watchtower

If JWs aren't in a high-control group, then why does the Watchtower Society use so many of the techniques that cults and terrorist organizations use?

Of course the Watchtower Society and those loyal to it will swear up and down that the Watchtower Society is not a cult? What else would they do? Go to the doors and say "Good morning, My friend and I are talking to you and your neighbors asking if you would like every aspect of your life directed by a group of men who run the Watchtower Society?"

Of course not. Cults use a variety of subtle techniques to convince new recruits to relinquish control over their own life and isolate them from anyone who would try help them realize that they are joining a cult.

Anyone looking into whether they should become one of Jehovah's Witnesses owes it to his or her self to get all the facts. If there are people who are claiming that the Watchtower Society is a cult, find out why. A group who isn't a cult will not use cult control techniques mentioned in the link above.

Well, VoR, you're not using the term Watchtower Society the way the Watchtower Society is...

*** w98 3/15 p. 18 par. 3 Living Up to Christian Dedication in Freedom ***

Someone may argue that the way the Witnesses speak about the Watch Tower Society—or more often just “the Society”—indicates that they view it as more than a legal instrument. Do they not consider it to be the final authority on matters of worship? The book Jehovah’s Witnesses—Proclaimers of God’s Kingdom clarifies this point by explaining: “When The Watchtower [June 1, 1938] referred to ‘The Society,’ this meant, not a mere legal instrumentality, but the body of anointed Christians that had formed that legal entity and used it.” The expression therefore stood for “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matthew 24:45) It is in this sense that the Witnesses generally used the term “the Society.”

Your arguments about which legal entity is being referred to are dead VoR.

Now the challenge is to establish the possible reason for accumultating wealth. Many evangelists live a life of luxury but that's not likely the case for any of the board members of any of the multiple corporations. But what other reasons exist for the wealth building?
Jesus cured the sick and fed the hungry in addition to the spiritual nourishment he provided. He did that because he could. The WT Society could too but is committed to NOT doing that.

S said...

"Jesus cured the sick and fed the hungry in addition to the spiritual nourishment he provided. He did that because he could. The WT Society could too but is committed to NOT doing that."

Why is that always the issue?

Why is it the Watchtower Society's responsibility to cure the sick and feed the hungry?

They have wealth because it is wise to save for the future when there is need and to help those in other parts of the world that have need.

So what? Who cares how many corporations there are?
They are NON-PROFIT corporations!

All of the Bibles and Bible literature is distributed free to the public because they care about people just as our loving creator does.

There is no proof of anyone living high on the hog here- unlike the pope and TV evangelists. Again we see the the facts do not matter to many here.

Well, except for 'Judge' Rutherford who had a mansion named Beth Sarim in San Diego during the great depression.

There's something more than just amassing wealth here. The movement that C. T. Russell started has evolved into a self perpetuating meme that acts much like terrorist organizations that don't disband after they achieve their goals or fail miserably year after year. I don't believe the Watchtower society is run by charlatans. I believe the organization behind the ideology has gone way past the point of no return and has to continue enforcing its unscriptural policies and doctrines because the men in the upper ranks have simply invested too much of their lives to be able to see the truth about 'the truth'.

Bud said...

Shawn, I think you are on the right track. The GB and their comrades are so invested they can't turn back. I suspect the turn towards trusting the legal department is responsible for the current direction of the organization - more than holy spirit. How many lawyers are on the staff these days?

Having It Both Ways As A Jehovah’s Witness.

Increase in JWs evidence of divine blessing
When people are joining the JWs in large numbers, they say it is “evidence of Jehovah’s blessing”. (Watchtower July 1, 2002, p.13, paragraph 17-19)

But … when the numbers are down they claim it’s because “the greater number has cooled off”.

JWs can take blood, but can’t donate any blood
JWs are allowed to take every single component of blood (including the ones that transmit diseases) from other people and the general blood supply.

But … JWs are NOT allowed to donate any blood back to the very system they take blood from!

Kids dying from no blood
They brag about how many JW kids face death because of their stance on blood, including putting the kid’s pictures on the cover of the Awake magazine. (Awake! 1994 May 22 p.2 Youths Who Put God First 3-15)

But … JWs say Satan is persecuting them when they are labeled as child killers. (Watchtower 1998 December 1 p.14 par. 4 Defending Our Faith)

Strong Families
If someone wants to leave the JWs (like me), they are labeled as apostates and shunned - even by family members.(Watchtower 1998 December 1 p.17 Defending Our Faith)

But … JWs say Satan is persecuting them when they are labeled as a religion that breaks up families.(Kingdom Ministry August 2002 pp.3-4)

Interpreting the bible accurately
JWs condemn the Catholic Church as arrogant for saying only the Catholic Church can accurately interpret the bible. (The Watchtower, 7/1/1943, p. 201.)

But … JWs brag that the Watchtower Society is the only one that can accurately interpret the Bible. (The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1981; The Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967. p. 587)

Pedophiles
JWs condemned the Catholic Church for decades for not owning up to their pedophile problems. (Any “Watching The World” in the 80’s & 90’s)

But … the JWs have never apologized for their pedophile problems. (The Catholics DID apologize!)

Apostate Literature
JWs condemn the Catholic Church for not allowing their followers to read or study with JWs. (Year Book 1988 p.100 Ireland)

But … JWs are instructed to promptly throw away any literature from other “apostate” religions. (Watchtower 1986 March 15 pp.15-20 Allow No Place for the Devil!)

New Light
JWs condemn the Catholic Church’s “new light” doctrine, saying it makes the Catholic Church unreliable. (g70 4/22 p. 8 Changes That Disturb People)

But … JWs excuse for all their false prophecies and flip-flops is “new light”.

====================================

I believe I regularly call them nutty dispensationalists. I focus on these men because they are responsible for the core doctrine of the Watchtower Society. If you want to continue to believe the interpretation of the Bible from a guy who thinks that the Great Pyramid is God's stone witness, then go ahead. Even though JWs don't teach people about pyramidology any more, they do teach the equally absurd doctrine of the gentile times based on an incorrect date for the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.

Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to clear this issue up for the other readers. :)

Dude, we wouldn't respond to you if we wanted you to remain in a course of error.

We honestly want to help people leave a destructive cult, and accept Christ (if they so choose) out of position of knowledge, not out of ignorance.

Nothing is more positive than helping people to see that they've been misled.

Please understand, we all believe that you are SINCERE and you actually believe you are serving God in the ONLY acceptable manner.

We are not questioning your motives. When I was a JW, I believe it 100% and my attitude was probably exactly like yours.

You are a victim of a victim. The people that taught what you believe to be Bible truths were misled.

Read the Bible and see for yourself.

Your faith is based upon a UNIQUE INTERPREATION OF SCRIPTURE. Nothing more, nothing less.

===================================

Take a look at this blog post. The similarities between what the Watchtower Society does and what terrorist organizations do is chilling.

How is declaring the truth about the Watchtower Society an act of destruction? I'll tell you. It's because it is raising the cognitive dissonance you've worked so hard to suppress... and that's a good thing. The more you learn about what the Watchtower Society, the harder you have to work to reconcile the difference between what they have been telling you and what they have actually been doing. This is a painful process, but one that ultimately leads to freedom from their control over you. You're so close VoR, don't stop now.

"Having It Both Ways As A Jehovah’s Witness.

Increase in JWs evidence of divine blessing
When people are joining the JWs in large numbers, they say it is “evidence of Jehovah’s blessing”."

Well, it is a blessing from Jehovah because he draws people.

"But … when the numbers are down they claim it’s because “the g
greater number has cooled off”."

No we do not say that. We say that it is part of the sign of the times in that those who fell on rocky soil and on the side of the road and on other non-fertile ground (like Shawn) did not grow in the faith.

"JWs can take blood, but can’t donate any blood
JWs are allowed to take every single component of blood (including the ones that transmit diseases) from other people and the general blood supply."

No we do not take blood. We choose not to donate it either.

No, we are not allowed to take any component of blood and we choose to take whatever fractions we like because fractions of fractions are not blood.

"But … JWs are NOT allowed to donate any blood back to the very system they take blood from!"

Stop using the word 'allowed' as if another has the say over what we do.

"Kids dying from no blood"

Then get a good doctor and no one will die.

"Strong Families
If someone wants to leave the JWs (like me), they are labeled as apostates and shunned - even by family members."

You do not want to leave JWs as you are not in it. Quoting from watchtowers does not make one a Witness, look at Shawn, that is all that he knows how to do. But love God, that is out of the question. But people who leave are not labeled as apostates and shunned, they are simply left alone. But why would anyone want to associate with someone who does not help another with one's faith?

Dude. The earth is not flat. Germ theory of disease is not voodoo.

It's called science.

Blood transfusions save people's lives each and every day.

You have an Internet connection. Use it.

Your religion permits hemoglobin, clotting Factor VIII, Hemopure, etc.

JW lives are save all the time, because "worldly" people are kind enough to donate blood.

Again, JWs are ethical hypocrites.

Unless you have statistics from the medical community that we can check, then I'm just going to have to call you on your blatant fabrication.

Why aren't you proud of all of the Witnesses who have committed suicide by being loyal to the Watchtower society? They are obeying God, aren't they?

So it seemed for 12-year-old Lenae Martinez. Her hope was to live forever on a paradise earth. This hope was bolstered by the Bible training she had received from her parents, who are Jehovah’s Witnesses. Had not she herself read in the Bible that the earth would continue forever, that it was created to be inhabited forever, and that the meek would inherit it forever?—Ecclesiastes 1:4; Isaiah 45:18; Matthew 5:5.

Now she was in the Valley Children’s Hospital in Fresno, California, U.S.A. She had been admitted there for what appeared to be a kidney infection. Tests revealed, however, that she had leukemia. The doctors treating Lenae determined that packed red blood cells and platelets should be transfused and chemotherapy started immediately.

Lenae said that she wanted no blood or blood products, that she had been taught that God forbids that, as shown in the Bible books of Leviticus and Acts. “For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to you, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication.” (Acts 15:28, 29) Her parents supported her in this stand, but Lenae stressed that it was her decision and it was very important to her.

The doctors talked several times with Lenae and her parents. Even so, they came again one afternoon. Lenae said concerning this visit: “I was feeling very weak from all the pain and had been vomiting a lot of blood. They asked me the same questions, only in a different way. I told them again: ‘I don’t want any blood or blood products. I would rather accept death, if necessary, than to break my promise to Jehovah God to do his will.’”

Lenae continued: “They were back the next morning. The platelets were dropping, and my fever was still high. I could tell the doctor listened to me more this time. Even though they didn’t like my stand, they did say I was a very mature 12-year-old. Later my pediatrician came in and told me he was sorry but nothing would help me but the chemotherapy and transfusions. He left and said he would be back later.

“When he left, I started to cry very hard because he had taken care of me all my life, and now I felt like he was betraying me. When he came in later, I told him how he had made me feel—that he didn’t care about me anymore. This surprised him, and he said he was sorry. He did not mean to hurt me. He looked at me and said: ‘Well, Lenae, if that is the way it has to be, then I will see you in heaven.’ He took his glasses off and, with big tears in his eyes, said he loved me and gave me a big hug. I thanked him and said: ‘Thank you. I love you too, Dr. Gillespie, but I hope to live on a paradise earth in the resurrection.’”

Then two doctors and a lawyer came, told Lenae’s parents that they wanted to talk to her alone, and asked the parents to leave, which they did. Through all this discussion, the doctors had been very considerate and kind and were impressed with Lenae’s articulate way of speaking and her deep conviction.

When alone with her, they told her that she was dying of leukemia and said: “But blood transfusions will prolong your life. If you refuse blood, you will die in a few days.”
...

After a long, difficult night, at 6:30 a.m., September 22, 1993, Lenae fell asleep in death in the arms of her mother.

Lisa’s first night in Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children was worse than a nightmare. She checked in at four in the afternoon and was immediately given a series of tests. She didn’t get to her room until a quarter past eleven that evening. At midnight—well, let Lisa tell what happened. “At midnight a nurse came in and said: ‘I have to give you some blood.’ I cried out: ‘I can’t take blood because I’m one of Jehovah’s Witnesses! I hope you know that! I hope you know that!’

....

Lisa and her family left the hospital that day. Lisa did, indeed, fight her disease with dignity and peace of mind. She died peacefully at home, in the loving arms of her mother and father.

Faithful Youths I was touched by the series “Youths Who Put God First.” (May 22, 1994) When I was a teenager, I had a brain tumor. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I told the doctors: “I don’t want to take a blood transfusion.” Although a court order was obtained to force blood on me, the surgery went well without it. As I read about these faithful young servants of God, I had tears in my eyes. They had been through the same experience as I! Their stories have touched my heart and strengthened my love for God.

Youths Resist Blood Transfusions I am 12 years old, and I have just read the series “Youths Who Put God First.” (May 22, 1994) I was very impressed by the courage that these young Christian brothers and sisters showed, facing death with such confidence in Jehovah and in the resurrection. Their courage and faith in Jehovah made me weep with joy.

People should be crying about children dying over an unscriptural doctrine against tissue transplants. this is child abuse.

You can put lipstick on your No Blood pig, but it's still a pig.

You believe that God wants people to die, if bloodless surgery is not good enough to save their life.

JWs sacrifice their children, just like the heathens in the OT sacrified their children to Molech.

You all carry Suicide Cards in your wallets.

Who the hades is this Ronde person people keep addressing?

Anonymous said...

That would be you, sir. You're required to think EXACTLY like all other JWs, so why make any distinction. Plus, you are the same person, anyway, right?

Anonymous said...

VOR deviously asks, "Who the hades is this Ronde person people keep addressing?"

It is an obsessed person, that is somehow associated with the man-made organization of JW's.

His obsession lies in his inability to counter points made by those who present critical views of JW's.

His frustration jumps off the written page.

All these negative emotions from Ronde have caused an addiction to defend his connection with JW's.

Right or wrong, he will DEFEND his religion. He cannot stop. He is addicted.

Addiction is something that needs professional help.

Please get help Ronde (and that means your other personality too, VOR).

Who cares how many legal entities they use? Isn't that their business?

S said...

Yes, it is their business.

But since they do not have valid objections to the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses, they have to attack things like that.
