Christian meetings are a way by which we can maintain proper esteem. Since Jehovah and Jesus are present invisibly at these gatherings, grateful Christians will not snub them, as the apostates do, but rather do all they reasonably can to attend regularly.
However, according to Watchtower doctrine, God is not omnipresent:

The Most High God has always had a place of residence in heaven. He is not an all-pervasive spirit that is omnipresent, present everywhere at the same time. Being an intelligent Person, he has his location, his place of residence where he can be approached.
This begs the question that since doctrine holds that Jehovah is NOT omnipresent, and Jesus is of course just a lowly angel who doesn't even have "holy spirit" at his disposal let alone omnipresence, how can it be said they are "present invisibly" at all the meetings? This simply shows that they make up this stuff as they go along.

What gets me is how they make a sweeping statement that those who don't attend meetings are snubbing God/Jesus. Of course this is typical propaganda, designed to plant this thought in members minds: that anyone who doesn't go to meetings is rejecting God's teachings. This is a typical thought control technique where language is "loaded" so that readers make associations and draw certain conclusions.
Is this technique effective? You'de better believe it. Someone who questions is immediately viewed as an apostate, one who has turned away from God.
I remember my sister saying: "You sound like an apostate." I reminded her:" the definition of an apostate is one who has turned away from God. Disagreeing with current teachings is not the same thing.
The reality is that many reject the flawed teachings of the GB but still very much believe in God and Christ.Not going to a meeting in no way means that someone is an apostate or is snubbing God.
The closer reality may be that they've finally come out from under all the thought control and are snubbing erroneous teachings that are in actuality bordering on creature worship.
It's so darned convenient: if you question the Society, you are questioning God, or so the "reasoning" goes.
Yet, the scriptures tell us to keep testing and searching.
By forbidding members to do this, The Society is actually promoting an inscriptural course.
Humans were given reasoning ability; they were not supposed to accept teachings without weighing them carefully.
The bible contains sanctioned genocide and rape. You can also dismiss the god idea by observing nature (a 20 second google search about parasites should do it). If you believe that we should weigh ideas carefully, then you should apply this attitude to everything else too.
