Announcement From Former Bethelites Regarding Abuse Cases

We're happy to announce that now all 5,000 pages of court records from the nine child sexual abuse lawsuits involving sixteen victims, settled by Watchtower in February 2007, are available for FREE download from our website, www.watchtowerdocuments.com.

There are a total of twelve files, besides a file containing a commentary explaining the lawsuits, and each file can be downloaded separately. Due to the fact that many people purchased the CD, "Secrets of Pedophilia in an American Religion," thus, reimbursing us for the expense to buy, compile and publish the court documents, there is now no reason to sell the material anymore. Thank you everybody who purchased the CD for you made it possible for these papers to be distributed throughout the world without any cost involved. We've left the CD for sale through Lulu for those who want to buy the professional-looking CD, but we expect the majority of people who are interested in this important information will probably download the files.

Never underestimate what some damning statement found in these court records will do to help some to think seriously about Watchtower's responsibility for making it possible that more children be molested by a JW pedophile because he was not reported to the police by Watchtower supervisors the first time he was accused.

For instance, in the TIM W. vs. Watchtower lawsuit, Watchtower records given to plaintiff's attorney during discovery show that between 1963 and 1993 (when elder/city overseer/pedophile, James Henderson's abuse of plaintiff Tim W. began), Watchtower had FIVE TIMES received reports from JW congregations that Henderson had committed sexual crimes. Merton Campbell, the Service Department's desk man in charge of California, who appointed elders and ministerial servants, appointed and reappointed Henderson again and again to positions of authority within Witness congregations after he would be removed for sexual abuse.

If any website owners want to advertise that these court records are available for free download, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, feel free to put all the lawsuit files and/or the commentary on your website.

Please pass the word that all court records from the "Secrets" CD can be downloaded for free from www.watchtowerdocuments.com

Note: So now you can read for yourselves, to see what is true and what is not true.

All abuse cases are disgusting. Even if the criminal does not get jail time, Jehovah will punish him.

However, the organization is not the police. Why did not the people who reported these crimes to 'Bethel' just call the police, or an abuse hotline? If they felt that they would get in trouble -as some ex JW's may say- they could have done so anonymously.

Some people did bad things.

Yes, that happens.

But this is not a religious issue.

Dear JW Apologists:

You. Just. Don't. Get. It.

Your organization's policy of needing TWO FREAKING WITNESSES for child rape is bulls***.

That is the point.

Do you really think your JW child rapists are going to have two witnesses around watching them?

The elders question the monster, he says he didn't do it, and the matter ends.

It's a freaking crime. Call the police and let them sort it out.

So, if your child is raped by Elder Johnson, and Elder Johnson denies it, then the matter is over. If you, as the parent of the raped child, try to warn other parents about Elder Johnson the Rapist -- you will be disfellowshipped.

Are you honestly here to defend such a policy?

For everything, there are two witnesses. The accused and the accuser. The question is why can't they agree on the facts?

Whom does one believe?

Would you have the accuser believed in every case? If you were the accuser or the family of the acusser, yes. But, not if you were the accused or family of the accused.

Thus if there is no agreement then the matter is not settled.

If the "monster" says he didn't do it, how is it that you call him/her a monster? What facts are there?

"It's a freaking crime. Call the police and let them sort it out."

If that is the case then the victim can do that as only that ones has first hand knowledge. When are you idiots going to get that idea that it is not the elders' job to handle those situations, but it is the victims' responsibility?

"If your child is raped by Elder Johnson, and Elder Johnson denies it, then the matter is over."

Why would I take my child's word over another automatically? Why would my child be with another? And why is it 'elders' that are pointed at?

" If you, as the parent of the raped child, try to warn other parents about Elder Johnson the Rapist -- you will be disfellowshipped."

No, I would not be disfellowshipped, but my child would not be with someone that one would not be comfortable with. That is why I find fault with the parents of those whose child had be molested many times over.

"Are you honestly here to defend such a policy?"

I am not here to defend anything. I am here to find fault with you and your attacks.

Ronde (VoR) reveals the real reason he is here. " I am here to find fault with you".

Yes, that's fine. But it is the churches job to report molesters. This has been established by law in the US.

The JW org 'shuts up' those that speak out. Read these cases you will see that Watchtower went to great lengths to try to hide information.

Read the first 100 pages of 'Amy'.

"But it is the churches job to report molesters. This has been established by law in the US. "

Second or third or fourth hand info.

No, I would say that it is the job of one with first hand information to report it.

And the law in the states and US does not matter.

"The JW org 'shuts up' those that speak out. Read these cases you will see that Watchtower went to great lengths to try to hide information."

No, the JW org does not shut up those who speak out. Those who want to speak out will. Those that are shut up don't think they have anything to speak out about.

And I am sure that there are many who left the faith that will report many things that they didn't like. How much of it is true? But then that does not matter. Christianity is about enduring in the faith, not about finding everything working properly.

This is patently not true. I know this for a fact.
People can say anything on the internet; obviously, you cannot believe everyone.

Most of the elders have children or grandchildren. They have no possible reason not report abuse, even if the victims do not personally do so.

The Witnesses position on two or more witnesses to a sin or crime is scripturally based. Elders cannot run DNA or medical tests in determining abuse. We have all read news reports of people set to jail for years, and then the 'victim' recants and said it was all made up.

Jehovah's Witnesses are loving and reasonable people since they follow the scriptural guidance.

So, VoR and Sheeplike are defending the Rapists?

Predictable.

Use your brain. Stop blindly following men.

We feel our policy on Child Protection has been badly misrepresented in the press and by opposers' pressure groups. We'd like the opportunity to explain. Please visit our website for further details.
