For example:

"I was born into the Jehovah’s Witnesses..."

JWs do not use the definite article when referring to the name of their religion.

"I suggested that he might want to stop and get a cup of coffee before we started knocking on doors."

JWs don't refer to the ministry with the phrase 'knocking on doors'. Instead they might say 'going door to door' or 'out in service'. But never 'knocking on doors'.

"“Gee, I don’t know, Dad,” I answered. “I haven’t really thought too much about it because I know the Society frowns on anyone going to college – especially a 4-year school. I don’t want to get into any trouble at the Kingdom Hall. After all, you’re an elder – I don’t want you to get into trouble either.”"

Witnesses don't say 'the Society frowns on' anything. A real Witness also knows that there are no sanctions on attending college by itself, either on the one going or the parents.

“Look, son – I’m having some doubts about things – mostly Watchtower teachings."

No JW refers to their doctrine as 'Watchtower teachings'. Apostate forgers, on the other hand, do constantly.

"In Jehovah’s Witness families, fathers are so totally into being “head of the household,” or “spiritual leader and example to the family,” that they will be very distant, cold, and often cruel to their kids."

A blatant lie and against everything the Society says. Read the Family book.

"I remember him coming home and locking himself in his bedroom – and then throwing up – after having to disfellowship a young JW sister earlier that day."

If he was on the committee why was he 'forced' to disfellowship her? Didn't he have any say-so on the committee? And since people are only DF'ed if they are unrepentant, why is this supposed elder father throwing up after disfellowshipping an unrepentant, say, fornicator?

All of the above goes to show that this is nothing more than a made up sob story and that bitter ex-JWs lap it up as 'proof' that JWs are doubting.StandFirmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13228912997731709009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7952450681786201073.post-65954604395453011572011-02-02T14:42:10.706-08:002011-02-02T14:42:10.706-08:00I once had a conversation with an atheist. I explained that at judgement day, if she is right, and we all go to nothingness, then no harm no foul. But if I am right and there is a God and there is a hell and there is eternal suffering and damnation, then simply speaking, you are screwed. I mean do the math.

After reading your story with an open mind and heart, I heard that you have problems with the lack of freedom to debate and exchange alternate ideas even though it is stated in Watch Tower publications that it is allowed. Uh huh. So then it brings to me doctrine. In looking for the correct Bible for myself to read, I compared many only to find that the New World Translation is unlike any other Christian bible ever written at any time and that its doctrines were tailor made by Johannes Greber who is a spiritists and has a spirit medium wife and that not one translator had any Greek or Hebrew education save one who had two semesters of Greek in college. (this is documented in the Scotland court case on file.) When comparing how Satan wants to turn everything God says and wants upside down and opposite, JW doctrine couldn't have accommodated Satan more. I researched each and every doctrine in the NWT bible and it is totally twisted, whole scriptures taken out, words added, meanings taken out if context and all to fit a previous and wrong idealogy by some MAN who claims to have a channel to God. Would it surprise you to know that when Taze claimed that the society was the channel of God, they were then celebrating Christmas, birthdays, joined the military, saluted the flag, had a cross on their books and on Charles Taze Russels grave. It seems the organization from the beginning needs a forensic and honest analysis.

So,, back to the atheist story and how to applies to you. Well if you are right, the worship of the earth did not hurt you and all of bad apostates will get a second chance and live on paradise earth. However, if I am right and God spits you and your entire church out of his mouth in His wrath (which he wrote in the Letter to Titus) and you are thrown into Hell which is eternal suffering, then you are screwed. I mean... do the math. My next question which brought me to write this post is, how can you keep going door to door in good conscience when you could be damning souls to hell? If I am right, of course. Do the math.

Kim CostanzoKim Costanzohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05384512270311922150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7952450681786201073.post-76960832351114075722011-01-31T18:15:10.679-08:002011-01-31T18:15:10.679-08:00Ptt7000
